Born from the private cellars of the Byzantine Empire, IXIRUS preserves the legacy of the 12th-century kellarios Konstantinos Laskaris — guardian of the emperor’s sacred wines. For over nine centuries, his descendants carried the secret blends of resin, spice, and Anatolian harvests across dynasties and continents. Today, IXIRUS stands as the refined continuation of that imperial craft: a wine shaped not by fashion, but by lineage; not by industry, but by heritage. Each amphora is a distilled fragment of Byzantium — perfected through generations, bestowed rather than made.

• Clayborn Amphorae
Hand-fired vessels shaped in the likeness of imperial storage jars.
• Mastic Resin Infusion
Pure Chian resin is warmed, softened, and brushed inside each amphora to create the signature Byzantine seal.
• Spice Ceremony
A precise measure of Pontic spice stones, bay, thyme, and the faintest trace of silphium — the same aromatic formula attributed to Antigoni of the imperial kitchens.
• Slow Fermentation
The wine rests in cool stone chambers, aging in silence, absorbing the character of clay, resin, and time.
• The Kellarios Seal
Each amphora is finished with the emblematic wax seal, a modern echo of the mark once pressed by Laskaris himself.
